Michael March brings something rare to the screen: four decades of genuine authority.
His career began in the mid-1980s at a top New York law firm, before taking him across Asia-Pacific in senior legal, management and C-suite roles with major multinational media companies — based in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, and ultimately Bangkok.
A beach walk epiphany during Covid lockdown in 2020 propelled him into what he calls his “third act” as an actor.
What makes Michael's transition so compelling — and so useful to directors and casting teams — is precisely what he carries with him onto set. Decades of high-pressure professional life have given him an instinctive command of authority, restraint, and subtext. He doesn't just play powerful men; he has been one. When he walks into a scene as a savvy businessman, government official, learned academic, cunning adversary, or a compassionate father, the weight of experience is not performed — it's present.
His screen credits include the beloved Thai romantic comedy Fast & Feel Love (GDH, directed by Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit), the international thriller Operation Blood Hunt, and Gladiator Underground. On television, he played the President of a global health organization in Netflix Thailand's Tomorrow and i. He has also played leading roles in several short films that are currently entering the international festival circuit. On stage, he has tackled Mamet (American Buffalo) as well as contemporary drama and dark comedy with Bangkok's leading English-language companies. His commercial work spans Ford Motor Company, Prudential Insurance, OPPO, and JMGO, with extensive voice credits across Asia.
Michael’s training matches his ambition. He has studied acting and voice with the Tom Todoroff Conservatory in New York (ongoing), the Margie Haber Studio and Anthony Meindl Actors Workshop in Los Angeles and Sydney, eight months of improv training with Blind Tiger Comedy in Vancouver, as well as intensive Meisner and Lucid Body training in Bangkok. He arrives on set disciplined, collaborative, and prepared — instincts honed long before acting training.
A native English speaker with conversational Mandarin and Japanese, Michael is a natural for international co-productions and Asian-language content demanding a credible Western presence. He is based in Bangkok and available regionally and internationally.
