Chanya McClory

Chanya McClory is a Thai actress of British, Chinese, and Thai heritage, born and raised in Thailand. With a distinctive presence shaped by her multicultural background, she brings both emotional depth and physical intensity to her performances. She made her acting debut in the series The Deadline, portraying a young woman suffering from an extremely rare form of cancer. In dedication to the role, Chanya shaved her head, delivering a powerful and natural performance that earned her Best Leading Female Performance at the 24th Asian Television Awards. She later appeared in The Stranded, Thailand’s first Netflix Original series, further establishing her presence in international streaming productions. Chanya’s career was briefly interrupted when she was diagnosed with a rare brainstem tumor affecting approximately one in 100,000 people. After undergoing brain surgery and recovering, she returned to the screen as Yuri in the globally successful Netflix series Girl From Nowhere Season 2, a role that introduced her to audiences around the world.
